Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific credentials as required)
• Proven experience working with students with a range of disabilities in educational settings
• Strong capacity for differentiated instruction and curriculum modification to meet diverse learning needs
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational strengths; able to track student progress, document interventions, and maintain compliance with IEPs
• Adaptability and positivity in a changing, supportive school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and adapt lessons to accommodate all learning styles and ability levels, ensuring each student’s unique needs and goals are addressed
• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school support staff, and related service providers to promote inclusion and student success
• Track and report on student progress with regular observation, data collection, and communication with families
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom climate where all students feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential
• Participate in ongoing professional development to keep up-to-date with best practices in special education
