Cooks work as part of a team that provides excellent service and high-quality food in a clean, friendly, and fun atmosphere.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide prompt and friendly service to customers in a way that will exceed customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.Follow procedures to prepare food products for customers, maintaining the highest level of product quality and cleanliness.Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of food preparation area, and storage areas, including interior and exterior of the restaurant, restroom, equipment, and utensils.Maintains health and safety standards in work areasDemonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu itemsCheck food quality and food temperature throughout the day to ensure the food is fresh and safe to serveUnloads and stocks inventory items as neededPrompt and regular attendance on assigned shiftsActs with integrity and honesty, and promotes the culture of PopeyesQualifications and skillsMust be at least eighteen (18) years of ageComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to interact in a positive and professional manner with Guests and coworkersWillingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stationsAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally,Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds of force frequently,Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objectsAbility to carry products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 60 poundsConsistently handle product preparationConsistently kneel and follow proper lifting proceduresFrequently stop and pick up supplies and trashConsistently push to open and close door to store and storage shed as well as cooler and freezersConsistently stand during assigned shift and trainingConsistently talk to and listen to fellow team members and GuestsConsistently lifts for product preparation, stocking, and inventoryPopeyes is an equal opportunity employer that makes employment decisions based on skills and experience and we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
