Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed, and systems-minded Java Fintech Team Leader to join our core centralized Engineering collective in a full-time, 100% remote capacity. Operating as the primary technical authority and organizational lead for an elite squad of backend developers, you will step up to claim true individual operational and strategic accountability over the development lifecycle, software architecture, and quality assurance of our next-generation fintech solutions. Shifting completely away from routine standalone script debugging, basic administrative log checking, minor local adjustments, or simple text review loops, you will run an active software engineering, microservices design, and transactional database architecture laboratory—partnering face-to-face with corporate stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional operations nodes. This position requires an internet technology or digital banking veteran with 8+ years of craft depth who maps out comprehensive distributed architectures fluidly natively using Backend design systems, diagnoses complex transactional failures cleanly natively leveraging Backend frameworks within enterprise Java ecosystems (such as Spring and Hibernate), and commands multi-project engineering cycles confidently under rapid market parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Squad Technical Leadership: Direct, mentor, and inspire a distributed team of Java software developers focused on building cutting-edge financial technology platforms, fostering a high-performance culture of continuous improvement.
• Enterprise Architecture & System Design: Formulate, design, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient backend software architectures fluidly natively utilizing Backend engineering standards to satisfy evolving corporate and client specifications.
• Rigorous Code Reviews & Best Practices: Conduct thorough, verification-disciplined code reviews and provide advanced technical guidance, ensuring all engineering branches adhere to strict security metrics, design patterns, and clean code metrics.
• Stakeholder Alignment & Requirement Translation: Partner in lockstep with business executives and project stakeholders to deconstruct complex financial requirements, translating them into crisp technical specifications and execution maps.
• Full Lifecycle Delivery Governance: Oversee and drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), directing phases from initial technical planning and dependency mapping down to production deployment and proactive system maintenance.
• Database Infrastructure Triage: Program, optimize, and maintain high-concurrency data storage pipelines across relational SQL and non-relational NoSQL technologies, ensuring optimal performance for transactional logs natively leveraging Backend database configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of verified professional history running advanced enterprise Java software development, backend systems engineering, financial technology development, or distributed software consulting.
• Explicit tenure of at least 3 years serving successfully in a technical leadership, engineering manager, or principal developer capacity commanding agile software squads.
• Expert-tier capability modeling high-availability backend microservices, managing transactional data blocks, and configuring secure enterprise layers natively utilizing Backend runtime logic.
• Practical operational familiarity organizing enterprise web applications, managing dependency injections, and handling database configurations natively using Backend systems (specifically requiring complete mastery over Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks).
• Demonstrated experience configuring and optimizing high-performance databases across both traditional SQL schemas and modern NoSQL datastores.
