Track vehicle and driver activity while responding to changing transportation demands. Coordinate transportation schedules and make real-time operational adjustments as needed. Ensure operational procedures are followed and communicate service updates promptly. Monitor on-time performance and help maintain high service standards. Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding routes, schedules, safety, and operational requirements. Mentor and coach drivers as needed to promote compliance, professionalism, and safe driving practices. Customer Service & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers and customers. Provide exceptional customer service while handling inquiries, concerns, and service requests. Resolve service issues quickly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction. Build positive relationships through effective communication and problem-solving. Keep customers informed of service updates and operational changes when necessary. Operational Excellence Support daily transportation operations by monitoring service performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. Ensure quality standards are met and customer expectations are exceeded. Report operational disruptions or service deviations in a timely manner. Collaborate with management and team members to maintain smooth and efficient operations. Qualifications & Skills of a Fleet Dispatcher: Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software and technology platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage a multi-line phone system with high call volume. Strong multitasking and organizational abilities. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure. Experience handling and resolving driver or customer concerns professionally. Ability to work simultaneously across multiple software systems and dual computer screens. Dispatch, transportation, fleet, logistics, customer service, or call center experience is a plus.
