Event Manager

Reporting directly to the location General Manager and Director of Sales, the Event Manager will oversee the coordination of execution of all events in accordance with Stars and Strikes' guest service standards. Major responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting Event and Birthday Hosts to ensure they perform in accordance to Stars and Strikes standards. The Event Manager will have a proactive approach with all clients, interact with every parent, and serve as the point of contact for all parties. They will be responsible for the successful execution of all parties and events, assist in execution of bill presentation to clients, create party signage for all events, review Event Host's work to ensure accuracy, conduct walking site inspections throughout property for walk-in guests, monitor group activity, provide assistance as needed, communicate with sales, kitchen, games, and all departments for event specifications, create and distribute detailed event orders to all departments, establish rapport with meeting planners while promoting Stars and Strikes services, monitor, replenish, and update marketing materials including printed and digital collateral, create and monitor staff schedule, manage an inventory of event supplies, assist sales staff in promoting Stars and Strikes, developing leads, and securing re-bookings, responsible for event room set-up to Stars and Strikes' standards, update and generate weekly reports, answer phone with a professional and welcoming greeting, become educated in Meriq, Vector, Micros, and Embed software, computer skills to include proficiency in Word and Excel, and complete other duties as assigned.
