TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14621!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid New York RN License required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Description: MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND. Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN. Contract length: 13 weeks. Weekend: Every other weekend. Local candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. First-time travelers are accepted. Floating will be required. Patient ratio experience is approximately 6 patients per nurse. Charting system experience is required, specifically with EPIC. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias are essential skills. Knowledge of isolation precautions and use of PPE is required. Experience in management of oxygen delivery systems and peripheral line care is necessary. Unit provides care for patients with various medical conditions including hospice, pain control, diabetes, heart issues, stroke, and telemetry. Designated unit for COVID and flu patients, as well as those with increased oxygen requirements. Trach patients will be assigned for specialized care. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary assistance. Daily census includes an average of 39 patients. Patient age groups served are adults and geriatrics.
