West River Mental Health is currently accepting applications for a Counselor to join our Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team .

About the Position

This position provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral healthcare to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. The Counselor will play an important role in supporting clients throughout their recovery journey by providing treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing support services.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing individual and group counseling services
• Completing assessments and supporting the development of individualized treatment plans
• Providing treatment and support to individuals with substance use disorders
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Supporting clients as they work toward recovery, stability, and improved overall well-being
• Maintaining appropriate documentation and meeting program and regulatory requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field required
• Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) preferred
