Job Summary and Qualifications

An Echocardiology Technologist operates specialized ultrasound equipment to conduct diagnostic cardiac tests. They work directly with cardiologists to record and analyze heart functions, preparing findings for physician review and archiving.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program in sonography or a cardiovascular program.

• Certification: Must possess Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

• Life Support: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
