Senior RDA Engineer, APTD

Job Overview The Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Technology Development Engineer in the Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) department at Micron Technology will work with a global network of engineers to analyze process anomalies, develop solutions, and accelerate learning cycles in semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities Review and analyze experimental process flows for defect anomalies and quarantine process tools that are out of control. Use inline process signals to drive process improvements. Work with new inspection tools and strategies to detect problems earlier and identify their sources. Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with a "who needs to know this now?" approach. Build and improve techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools for relevant process issues. Actively participate in technical meetings, synthesize new opportunities or novel approaches. Collaborate with the global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between sites. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field plus 2-4 years of semiconductor industry experience. At least 1 year of RDA experience identifying and resolving defect integration issues. Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques. Basic data science/data manipulation skills (scripting, coding, programming). Strong understanding of physics, area chemistry, and semiconductor equipment concepts. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in EE, CE, MSE, or related field plus experience with metrology or inspection (SEM, X-ray, Laser or Optical Systems). Proven technical writing and research experience to assess process adjustment requirements and guide recommendations for improvements and innovations.
