Product Manager Intern (Summer 2026)

About the Role Cloudflare is seeking a Product Manager Intern to join our team. You will contribute to building innovative products and services that help build a better Internet, working at the core of our mission and impacting millions of users worldwide. Location Austin, TX (in‑office 3‑4 days a week) What You'll Do Conduct user research and competitive analysis to understand user needs and market trends, identifying pain points and opportunities. Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and senior leaders to translate vision into built features, ensuring specifications are met and user expectations are fulfilled. Define success metrics and ensure launched features are technically sound and solve real‑world problems for users. Identify, analyze, and strategically address complex challenges, transforming them into opportunities for innovation and growth. Ideal Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, Computer Science, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related field. Strong passion for technology and understanding user needs. Technical literacy, including familiarity with code (JavaScript, Python, Go, or Rust) and insight into developer workflows. Solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Bonus Points Hands‑on experience with developer tools like Git and personal or open‑source projects. Familiarity with command‑line tools and the developer workflow. Previous experience writing product specifications or conducting user research. Knowledge of security or Zero Trust concepts. Experience with competitor products or other developer‑focused tools. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, And Experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with external partners and internal teams. A self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity and eager to take initiative. Ability to commit to a full‑time 12‑week internship.
