Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Quality ManagerSTS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking a motivated and committed Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia. The Quality Manager ensures quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Quality Manager:Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions.Test realization of pellet specific gravityTests realization of Melt flow ratePrepare material test reportsAssurance the Check Fixture UsageMaintain Calibrations per QSI Calibration database.Provide maintenance to Check fixture devicesPerform of Scrap Entry-ReportingComplete testing per Work Instructions.Completes forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.Assist in training new operators to WI's and customer specification requirements.Overtime is sometimes required which may include weekends.Adhere to ISO 14001 requirementsAdhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirementsAdhere to Customer Specific requirementsExecution of layered process auditsNote: This section is not inclusive. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals.Please refer to the required list of skills and experience below. Education can be substituted with equivalent experience.
