ChenMoore is hiring a Highway Engineer to work on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Municipal highway / roadway improvement projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize his or her workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Project Manager on a variety of projects for the design of highways, roads, and intersections for FDOT and local municipalities.
• Serve in a technical role from time to time.
• Potentially serve as the Engineer of Record for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Responsible for growing and cultivating business in Southeast Florida, with a primary focus on FDOT District 4.
• Responsible for the financial and schedule performance of assigned projects.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering Required, focus on transportation/highways preferred.
• Professional Engineer required, registered and experience in Florida preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with designing highways.
• FDOT and/or Southeast Florida municipal client experience is a plus.
• Experience working in the capacity of the project manager for projects preferred.
• MicroStation OpenRoads experience preferred.
• Ability to handle concurrent projects.
