HOME BASED 8/6 Schedule

Job Duties

• Perform duties assigned to Flight Respiratory Therapist.
• Function as active member of the Neonatal Specialty Care Team
• Provide specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
• Monitor and assess the health status of patients throughout transport, including vital signs, respiratory function, and neurological development.
• Administer treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and/or standing orders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for laboratory testing
• Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems

Qualifications

• Live within 1 hour of a Major Airport in the Continental United States
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Neonatal ICU
• Additional experience with adult and geriatric population preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Proficiency in medical documentation systems
• Experience with patient assessment and monitoring
• Ability to perform venipuncture and administer injections
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• PALS Certification (Required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Preferred)
• S.T.A.B.L.E (Preferred)
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice
• Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RRT-NPS and/or RRT-ACCS (Preferred)
