If you take pride in crafting tight‑tolerance parts and keeping production moving, this role will feel like home. You’ll be the expert who bridges blueprint to finished component—configuring CNC vertical mills and lathes, dialing in processes, and ensuring every part meets spec.
Your Mission- Plan the Run: Use Epicor to review and organize work orders; pull setup instructions and blueprints.
- Configure for Accuracy: Load programs, verify parameters, and edit setups/programs as required.
- Operate with Range: Set up and run at least two machines in the department.
- Change Over with Confidence: Execute manual changeovers precisely and safely.
- Finish with Care: Deburr components using a deburring wheel and hand tools when needed.
- Validate Quality: Perform in‑process checks using hand measurement tools; hold print tolerances.
- Correct in Real Time: Apply offsets and program edits whenever parts drift out of tolerance.
- Document Rigorously: Scan parts into Epicor; log dates and job details for full traceability.
- Protect the Asset: Conduct basic preventive maintenance to sustain machine health.
- Elevate the Space: Maintain safety, cleanliness, and 5S discipline.
- Team‑oriented communicator.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong blueprint literacy.
- Ability to reason through ambiguous or undefined technical issues.
- Agility to shift priorities as work demands change.
- Meticulous, analytical, and organized—down to the last detail.
- 2+ years operating CNC lathes or mills.
- Comfort navigating CNC controls.
- Ability to read and edit G‑code.
- Capability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs safely.
- Maximum of two (2) “Inconsistent” ratings on the most recent performance review.
- Three (3) or more “Inconsistent” ratings are not eligible to proceed.
- Any “Unsatisfactory” rating is not eligible to proceed.
- No more than one (1) documented written warning within the past 12 months.
- Not currently on a Final Attendance warning.
