Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Environmental Services Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in resident apartment homes and throughout the community. Key Responsibilities * Perform a variety of housekeeping functions, including but not limited to, general cleaning/disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, spot cleaning, dusting. * Perform scheduled residential apartment cleanings, including vacant and non-vacant units or model suites. * Assist with cleaning public areas, offices, and residential building corridors. * Assist with resident activities setups and breakdowns and any residents request. What We're Looking For * High school diploma or GED. * Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or janitorial experience (6+ months) preferred. * Strong customer service and hospitality mindset. * Dependable attendance and punctuality. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and communicate effectively with residents. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Physical Requirements * Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day. * Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. * Ability to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. * Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently. * Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. * Ability to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. * May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV, and hepatitis. * May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
