Job Title: Class C Box Truck Driver Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime shift; subject to a varied work schedule and may be requested to work overtime and weekends for special programs. Position Purpose The Class C Box Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring timely deliveries of building materials to job sites, managing inventory in the warehouse, and providing excellent customer service. This dual-role position involves both driving and warehouse duties, requiring someone who can work efficiently, handle materials safely, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Duties and Responsibilities Operate a 16-24 foot box truck to deliver cabinets and building materials to local customers and job sites. Plan delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload cabinets and materials in a safe and organized manner. Verify accuracy of deliveries, ensuring all materials match the delivery orders. Maintain delivery logs and report any delays, accidents, or issues with deliveries. Perform routine inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition (checking fluid levels, tires, lights, etc.). Comply with all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws. Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking building materials in the warehouse. Prepare orders for delivery or pick-up, ensuring accuracy and quality. Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required). Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Conduct periodic inventory checks and assist with inventory management. Assist customers with picking up materials from the warehouse when needed. Perform additional tasks as may be assigned. Knowledges, Skills and Abilities Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance. Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the company. Basic math and organizational skills. Must pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring. Education, Qualifications, Licensing Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required but preferred). Management Preference High school diploma. GED, or equivalent Forklift certification or willingness to become certified. Prior experience in a warehouse, delivery, or logistics role preferred. Working Conditions Fast paced work environment with, in and around other forklifts, tractor trailers and other vehicles. Outdoor environment includes conditions of dust, noise, temperature variations and rain/snow. Physical requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat kneel, climb, and reach overhead. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
