Controls Engineer

In this role, you won’t just be writing code, you’ll be the architect of high-performance automation, taking projects from initial programming and in-house validation to global commissioning. Your Duties You will program, build, and validate sophisticated control systems incorporating pneumatics, servos, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HMI touchscreens to meet rigorous technical standards. You will lead the setup and startup of advanced machinery both in-house at our US and Austria facilities and at customer sites worldwide, ensuring seamless integration and performance. Beyond basic functionality, you will focus on process excellence by continually refining machines and systems to ensure peak operational efficiency and long-term reliability. You will create clear specifications and comprehensive technical documentation that serve as the essential blueprint for project success and team alignment. You will provide expert after-sales support and deliver high-level technical training, empowering our global clients to succeed through expert guidance and partnership. Your Profile You hold a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An ABET-accredited degree is preferred , providing the theoretical core for our complex control systems. . Ideally possessing 2–4 years of hands-on experience, you will utilize PLCs and HMI/OIT to drive sophisticated process control and industrial automation solutions. You are energized by the prospect of international travel, including extensive technical training at our STIWA Group headquarters in Austria and global project execution across the USA, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil. You bring excellent communication skills and a natural inclination for responsibility, working seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating the potential to grow into future leadership roles.
