Hospital CEO

Encompass Health seeks a transformational leader to manage a hospital within our network. The CEO will oversee full hospital operations, maintain financial stability, and ensure high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies including Joint Commission standards.
• Foster a work environment and culture that empowers staff to fulfill the mission.
• Oversee hospital operations and continuously assess and enhance performance.
• Maintain responsibility for patient census and actively participate in marketing services within the community.
• Promote and maintain a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
• Provide motivation and celebrate team achievements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field (preferred). Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
• Five years of management experience in healthcare, with at least 2‑3 years in a senior management position.
• Demonstrated ability in overseeing hospital operations, budget development, marketing for volume growth, program development, FTE management, expense control, policy and procedure implementation, and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to work weekdays/weekends, evenings/nights, and on religious/legal holidays.
