Your Impact

As Product Compliance Manager, you will own and manage Accelvation's certification programs, currently including our UL 891 General Coverage Program, ETL Switchboard Program, and UL 508A Industrial Control Panels Program. This role will also be responsible for evaluating and establishing new certification programs as Accelvation's product portfolio expands, including a planned initiative to pursue UL 2755 certification for Modular Data Centers. You will ensure our products, processes, and facilities maintain active listing compliance and that our self-labeling program operates in full accordance with applicable UL and ETL requirements.

A core responsibility of this role is ensuring each Accelvation facility maintains the required number of UL 891 certified team members. You will manage certification tracking, coordinate ongoing training, and drive recertification efforts to keep staff credentials current at all times.

This role also requires periodic travel to high-power testing laboratories to represent Accelvation during product testing events and to coordinate test schedules in support of new product development initiatives.

Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams, you will serve as the primary contact for UL and Intertek (ETL), lead internal compliance audits, and ensure regulatory readiness across the organization.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

UL Compliance & Certification Program Management

• Own and administer Accelvation's active certification programs, currently including UL 891 General Coverage, ETL Switchboard, and UL 508A, with responsibility for evaluating and onboarding additional listings as the product portfolio expands, including a planned UL 2755 Modular Data Centers program
• Serve as the primary liaison with UL and Intertek (ETL) for audits, inspections, product submittals, correspondence, and ongoing listing maintenance across all active programs
• Ensure facility operations and manufacturing processes remain in full compliance with UL 891 and all applicable ETL listing requirements
• Maintain current and accurate records of all product listings, certifications, audit findings, corrective actions, and label authorizations
• Identify and evaluate new or revised UL, ETL, and NEC standards that may impact current or future product lines; communicate requirements across teams proactively

Staff Certification & Training

• Ensure each Accelevation facility maintains the required number of UL 891 certified personnel at all times in accordance with program requirements
• Track individual certification status, expiration dates, and renewal requirements for all UL 891 certified staff across facilities
• Coordinate and schedule UL 891 certification and recertification training for applicable employees
• Develop and deliver internal compliance training covering labeling procedures, listing requirements, and quality expectations for production staff
• Maintain documentation supporting staff certification records and training completion

Product Testing & New Product Development

• Travel to high-power testing laboratories to represent Accelevation during product testing events, including short-circuit and dielectric withstand testing
• Coordinate and manage test schedules with external labs to support new product development timelines and certification submittals
• Partner with Engineering during new product development to ensure compliance requirements are addressed at the design stage prior to testing
• Prepare and submit test plans, product documentation, and certification submittals to UL and ETL as required for new or modified product listings
• Document test results and facilitate follow-up actions with Engineering when modifications or retesting are required

Compliance Operations

• Review engineering designs, BOMs, and product configurations for compliance with applicable UL/ETL standards before production release
• Lead preparation and execution of internal compliance audits; coordinate and support third-party audits and follow-up activities
• Manage the product label program, ensuring labels are applied correctly and only to compliant configurations
• Develop and maintain internal compliance procedures, work instructions, and product design standards to support listing requirements
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes when compliance issues arise
• Monitor and report key compliance metrics to leadership
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance posture and reduce organizational risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with UL and/or ETL certification programs; familiarity with UL 891 strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities across facilities
• Effective communicator with experience working cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and external partners
• Nice to have: experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing, Epicor or ERP systems, NEC/NFPA familiarity, or quality certifications (ISO, Six Sigma)
