Apply now Job no: 555329 Work type: Auxiliary Location: Northridge Categories: Excluded, Athletics, At-Will, Part Time Job Description The Sport Clubs Coach II (Tennis) is a non-exempt position responsible for the coaching of the assigned Tennis club(s). Responsibilities Coordinate practices, home and away competitions, and tournaments. Teach participants ranging from beginners to experienced high school and collegiate athletes. Properly instruct fundamentals and technique. Assist club leadership with short- and long-term goals and plan of action for the academic year. Perform other duties as assigned to support the department, division, and university. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum two years’ experience coaching at the youth, high school, junior college or collegiate club level. High School Graduate or GED. Effective communication with a diverse student population. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. Experience commensurate with coaching at the collegiate club level. Compensation & Schedule Hourly wage commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience (salary range $20.00 - $30.00 per hour). This is a seasonal, hourly, part-time position typically from August through May of the following year. Travel is required for tournaments. Practices are typically 2‑3 days per week September through April, with 3‑5 tournaments during the season (mainly in Southern California; some out-of-state travel required). Typical schedule will be 8‑20 hours weekly when classes are in session. General Information This is a sensitive position as designated by CSU and Associated Students.
