Process Optimization/AI Consultant

The position would report to a Director of Product Management at Fanatics. This Director owns product management across several key areas within the supply chain domain, including:

1. Procurement & Sourcing Product Systems: Oversees systems that manage purchase orders, supplier communication, and vendor intake and compliance.

2. Supplier Portal: Owns the platform where vendors receive purchase orders, confirm quantities and timelines, and interact with Fanatics systems.

3. Vendor Compliance: Ensures suppliers meet company requirements through proper data management and workflow enforcement.

4. ERP Build Support: Contributes to the ERP implementation within his domain by defining requirements and helping design sourcing and procurement modules.

This hire would be impactful because it supports a newer area for him where processes are still being established. There are currently several manual and inefficient workflows, so they are looking for someone who can bring structure and improve overall operations.

This person would help fill a critical gap in his day-to-day responsibilities and better support his team.

This role is really focused on someone who’s strong in process improvement and can come in and help understand how things are working today, document those processes, and identify where there’s waste or inefficiencies. It’s less about building and more about someone who “knows what good looks like” and can help optimize workflows, especially in procurement and sourcing. They would be partnering directly with me to walk through processes end-to-end, support smaller projects, and start applying AI where it makes sense, like putting agents on certain workflows and feeding insights into their broader ERP work. The goal is to help us move faster, get a better handle on our processes, and improve efficiency while we’re in the middle of this larger AI and ERP transformation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Mateo, CA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
