Center Medical Spec - LPN Portland Holgate

This position is open to the following licensed professionals: EMT Basic (EMTB) EMT Advanced (EMTA) Paramedic LVN (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability. Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction. Ensure donor and staff confidentiality. Provide donor awareness of potential hazards and educate donors regarding general health. Offer counseling regarding unacceptable test results. Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events. Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability. Assist in employee training. Administer the employee Hepatitis vaccination program. Job Requirements Must be educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. High school diploma or GED required; current CPR certification required. Work involves standing and sitting for 2 to 4 hours per day, bending, twisting, and frequent hand movement. Must be able to perform precise coordinated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists. Physical capability to lift light objects (up to 15 lbs) and occasionally heavier loads (up to 50 lbs). Requires color perception, near and far vision correctable to 20/30 and 20/100 in one eye. Good communication skills; ability to understand and convey information verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Exposure to biological fluids, electrical equipment, and extreme cold below 32 °F; personal protective equipment mandatory. Benefits Competitive salary based on licensure and experience.
