Senior Development Engineer - Mechatronic Systems

A growing engineering organization is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to support the development of advanced electromechanical products. This individual will play a key role in the design, integration, testing, and optimization of drive systems used in highly engineered applications.

The position offers the opportunity to lead technical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative products from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electromechanical drive systems and related product technologies.
• Evaluate and optimize system designs involving motors, gearing, motion control, and electronic controls.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust and manufacturable solutions.
• Support system integration, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Investigate technical issues and drive root cause analysis efforts.
• Coordinate technical activities across projects while managing schedules, risks, and priorities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, documentation, and development standards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience developing electromechanical products involving motors, motion systems, controls, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical system integration.
• Experience with motor control, power electronics, automation, robotics, or control systems is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and collaborate across engineering disciplines.
• Experience with product verification, validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
