Make a direct impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year in a welcoming district near Lake Zurich, IL. This full-time, in-person contract runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a schedule of approximately 33.25 hours per week. You’ll be providing both instructional and resource support to students, helping them achieve success in a positive and inclusive environment.

Your expertise and commitment will empower students with exceptional needs and create richer educational experiences. Work hands-on in the classroom, collaborate with other professionals, and directly support learners at Shiloh Park.

Qualifications:

• Active Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois required; please have a copy of your PEL ready for submission
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for educating and advocating for students with diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals in both resource and instructional settings
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to address each student’s unique strengths and challenges
• Effectively manage classroom dynamics and maintain a supportive environment
• Collaborate with general educators, service providers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and progress monitoring
