This is a full time position/ 40 hours per week, flexible schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays. Additional pay for On-call. Angell Animal Medical Center is looking for a certified vet technician or experienced vet assistant to join our skilled anesthesia team. We have a $10,000 sign on bonus for Veterinary Technicians hired into our Anesthesia Department at Angell!

Angell serves the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center.

With 3 board certified anesthesiologists, 4 board certified surgeons and 3 resident surgeons, 7 surgical suites, state-of the art monitoring and surgical equipment, this position is perfect for the certified technician who wants to be working in an innovative and challenging environment working alongside the best veterinary doctors in the country.

You have a minimum of 2 years of anesthesia specific experience within the veterinary field. You must be a current Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of MA or hold a CVT/LVT in another state and are eligible to transfer your certification to Massachusetts. Compensation: Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $29-$34/hr. Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.

You will never be bored at Angell as we anesthetize a wide and varied assortment of patients including orthopedic, soft tissue (adrenalectomies), thoracic (pericardial windows, lung lobectomies), cardiac (balloons, pacemakers), and a variety of avian and exotic patients. Skills: Previous Animal Handling Experience Advanced

Education: Associates or better in Veterinary Technology or related field.

Experience: Applicants must have technical skills including, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia, CPR procedures. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant with strong experience in anesthesia. Work experience in a fast-paced, multi-veterinarian hospital, emergency/referral practice or veterinary teaching hospital is preferred.
