Identifies patterns and trends that require action planning.Supervises clinical team member scheduling and coordinates coverage of clinical area(s) of coverage. Assigns coverage as appropriate. Coordinates and manages the daily patient care assignments for the clinical team.Demonstrates knowledge of medication and vaccine administration according to policy, carries out physician orders in an accurate and timely manner. Monitors effects of medications and reports adverse effects in a timely manner. Documents according to AHS policy.Participates in the interviewing, hiring and orientation of new clinical team members. Monitors and evaluates competency of assigned clinical team members upon hire and annually. Participates in performance evaluation process.Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures, including but not limited to knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures. Organizes and schedules regular emergency drills for the department. Identifies and reports all risk management issues in a timely manner.Collaborates with practice leadership to organize regular practice huddles, communicates effectively with team members and physicians; actively listens and seeks feedback.Utilizes standard precautions including, appropriate isolation techniques. Models all HRO safety behaviors. Consistently follows the Ambulatory Health Care National Patient Safety Goals.Supports and encourages participation in Shared Governance (SG). SG empowers clinical team members to work at the top of their license, to improve the clinical work environment thereby improving satisfaction for team members and patients.
