About the Role The Senior Data Solutions Engineer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for developing, researching, and implementing data analysis projects including, but not limited to, data reporting, data visualizations, data design, and ad-hoc research projects, while developing and implementing data visualizations using Tableau, ensuring robust and innovative solutions meet business needs. This role will be located in ourGlobal Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include:Possessing a deep understanding of business processes and proactively identifying pain points where enhanced reporting and analytics can add significant value to the organizationPerforming complex data analyses to derive actionable insights, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data, while utilizing storytelling techniques to transform complex data analyses into compelling narratives that effectively communicate insights and drive informed business decisionsCollaborating with stakeholders to draw up detailed requirements for data projects, ensuring alignment with business objectivesCommunicating findings and insights effectively to stakeholders through presentations and detailed reports and advocating for the adoption of dashboards by demonstrating their value in data-driven decision making and strategic planningWorking closely with firm management, senior management, and various departments to support data-driven decision-making initiatives and optimize reporting toolsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We’d love to hear from you if you:Demonstrate strong knowledge of SQL, proficiency in Tableau, and familiarity with other programming languagesPossess the ability to perform complex data analysis and derive actionable insightsDisplay excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey data findings, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levelsAnd have:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics, or related field, preferablyA minimum of six (6) years of experience with SQL, data visualization, and complex data analysisProven experience with Tableau and other data visualization tools Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
