Job Description

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. The role includes maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessments and interventions.
• Ensure safe delivery of care and maintain clinical competencies.
• Delegate and prioritize patient care according to team members' qualifications.
• Supervise and provide guidance to assigned nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel experience.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
