Job Title: Battery Systems Engineer
Location: Elkhart, IN (onsite)
Hire Type: Contract

Job Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of DFMEA process
Experience with schematic software
Experience with design verification
Ability to review customer requirements and develop gap analysis to establish variant lists
Background in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and battery systems is a big plus
Familiarity with automotive quality systems (IATF/ISO standards)
Knowledge of quality, safety and manufacturability of battery packs
Experience with high voltage and high capacity lithium ion battery systems : LTO and NMC preferred
Experience specifying and setting up tests with cyclers and other diagnostic equipment
Experience with BMS software control algorithms and hardware design preferred
Experience with power electronics preferred
Demonstrable experience with tools and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, meters, diagnostics/analysis software) to perform standardized certification testing

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science or related engineering field
