General Superintendent

Overview An established, top-tier ENR‑ranked contractor is seeking a General Superintendent to lead all field operations on large‑scale data center construction projects . This is a key, site‑based leadership position with full responsibility for day‑to‑day execution, safety, schedule, and team coordination. The Role You will act as the senior field leader, responsible for driving all on‑site construction activities while ensuring alignment with project objectives, safety standards, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead daily coordination of subcontractors and trades to ensure schedule and quality targets are met Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and execution strategy Manage general conditions budgets and site‑related cost controls Maintain and update project schedules, including recovery and contingency planning Enforce safety standards and lead site‑wide safety culture initiatives Review contract documents to identify risks and proactively resolve issues Lead subcontractor and coordination meetings Manage permitting and compliance requirements Oversee quality control planning and execution Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation Support preconstruction, scope development, and procurement activities Develop and mentor field staff, including Superintendents and Field Engineers Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and stakeholders Leadership Profile Strong field leader who drives performance through clear communication, accountability, and team development Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage large teams across complex builds Commercially aware, with understanding of market conditions and project drivers Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate risk and plan long‑term solutions Proven ability to foster a high‑performing, safety‑first culture Requirements Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10‑15+ years of construction experience in a lead Superintendent role Strong background delivering data center or mission‑critical projects (preferred) Certifications OSHA 30 STS‑C (preferred) First Aid / CPR / AED Skills Strong technical understanding across all construction divisions Advanced scheduling and cost control experience Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office Experience with pull planning methodologies Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills Proven experience managing and developing field teams What’s on Offer Long‑term career progression within a leading contractor Access to industry‑leading training and development programs Exposure to complex, large‑scale data center projects Collaborative team environment with strong leadership support #J-18808-Ljbffr
