Software QA Engineer I

Responsibilities
- Execute, maintain, and expand software test cases.
- Edit existing test cases for accuracy and collaborate on test coverage.
- Investigate, document, and report software and hardware bugs.
- Review logs, bug reports, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Verify bug fixes and provide feedback on software and hardware testability.
- Provide weekly updates on task progress and bugs logged.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and QA leads.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in a QA/testing position.
- Experience writing test cases and test plans and implementing test strategy.
- Experience reviewing logs to determine the root cause of bugs.
- Competency with command-line tools.
- Experience with bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
- Experience with Android debugging tools.
- Experience with automated and manual testing methodologies.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and quality assurance.
- Clear, accurate, and concise written and verbal communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
