Adult Outpatient Psychiatry in Austin, Texas Correctional Medicine
This adult outpatient psychiatry role in Austin offers a focused clinical environment, clear structure, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful mental health care to an underserved population. Working within correctional outpatient facilities, you'll practice psychiatry with defined responsibilities, strong clinical oversight, and a mission-driven approach to care, all while being based in the Austin area.
Practice Details
- Ou tpatient psychiatry position serving adult patients within correctional facilities
- Provide direct psychiatric care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management
- Conduct psychiatric, physical, and neurological examinations as part of comprehensive care
- Participate in civil commitment and due process proceedings when applicable
- Provide clinical supervision to psychiatric mid-level practitioners as assigned
- Active involvement in quality improvement and quality management initiatives
Schedule
- Full-time role with assigned clinical hours
- Emergency psychiatric call responsibilities included
- Structured work environment with clear expectations and processes
