Description: The unit specializes in surgery with a total of 10 beds. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1 surgical tech per surgery. There are 11 surgical tech positions available on the unit. Surgical equipment is utilized within the department. Documentation is performed using a specific system. The unit requires 24-hour coverage for scheduling purposes. There are no floating policies in place. Patient experience requirements emphasize surgical technician involvement during procedures. Surgical technician certification is required for all candidates. The expected dress code includes teal blue scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be adhered to. This unit provides the opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology.
