Step into a dynamic opportunity with a new Early Intervention program in its inaugural year, where growth and innovation are at the forefront of supporting young learners. This contract position offers the unique chance to start on a part-time basis and transition to full-time hours as caseloads expand, making it ideal for those who value flexibility and are eager to play an instrumental role from the ground up.

Your role will focus on delivering occupational therapy services to early childhood students within a collaborative and nurturing educational environment. The program features individual and group therapy sessions, with each classroom supported by a special education teacher and one-to-one teaching assistants for every child, ensuring a supportive team approach.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with eligibility to practice in New York
  • Experience or a strong interest in school-based and Early Intervention settings
  • Ability to work effectively in both individual and group therapy models
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable adapting to a gradually expanding caseload and schedule

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to the developmental needs of children in an EI school program
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, teaching assistants, and other service providers to foster a holistic approach to student needs
  • Document progress and adapt goals as necessary to support each child’s growth
  • Participate in classroom activities and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
