Assistant Nurse Manager - Cardiovascular Critical Care Full Time 80 hours/pay (5) 8-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts Weekends and Holidays as required by department needs Newark, DE ChristianaCare is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit (CVCC) . In this leadership role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will partner with the Nurse Manager to support the clinical, operational, and administrative functions of the department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Our 26-bed Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit provides specialized care for critically ill cardiac medical and surgical patients within a Level I Trauma Center . Responsibilities Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed. Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors. Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff. Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff. Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements. Opportunity to step on leadership tract! Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in a nursing, healthcare or business management field required or currently enrolled to be obtained within 5 years of promotion into position. (If no BSN, Master's degree in nursing is required). 3-5 years clinical and leadership experience in area or specialty required Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state required. Hourly Pay Range: $52.97 - $84.75This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
