Sr Analyst, Pricing Analytics

Position Purpose The Sr. Analyst Pricing Analytics will provide analytical support, project management, and subject matter expertise in developing and executing data-driven strategies. They will perform complex data analysis, develop new metrics, create visualizations, and solve business questions using insights, analytics, and judgment. This position will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure end-to-end thinking on strategy and execution. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating thoughtful data architecture and pipelines to ensure scalability and understand how data collection impacts metric reporting. This position's workload is typically broken out as follows: Ad-hoc analysis work to support business decisions; Develop new metrics for measuring the value of retail projects; Create Tableau dashboards to visualize insights from data; Design and implement scalable data architecture and pipelines. Key Responsibilities 50% Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives 20% Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis 10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs) 20% Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions Direct Manager/Direct Reports This position reports to Manager. This position has 0 direct reports. Travel Requirements Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications 5+ yrs business experience preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in SQL Ability to work independently and lead projects Excellent data visualization and presentation skills in Tableau and PowerPoint Proactive learner with a drive to explore new ideas and solve complex problems Ability to translate business requirements into analytical frameworks Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Understanding of how data schema impacts metric behavior and reporting Ability to design scalable data architectures and implement efficient data pipelines Minimum Education The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
