Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year

Location: Butte, Montana

Minimum Degree: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline. A Masters degree is highly valued.

This role is hands-on and laboratory-centered, with a strong emphasis on building the experimental and analytical knowledge base that underpins an exciting, rapidly progressing, and innovative product offering.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline. A Masters degree is highly valued.
• 3-7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with a strong emphasis on safety and experimental execution.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct experiments safely, with disciplined documentation and traceable data capture.
• Familiarity with standard analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, Spectroscopy, imaging, and related methods.
• Strong practical troubleshooting skills and comfort working in laboratory and pilot-plant settings.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reduction, and visualization tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar.
• Solid, in-depth Chemistry background with practical application experience.
