Senior Tax Accountant | West Palm Beach | Hybrid | $85,000 to $110,000 If you're looking for a Public Accounting firm where you can keep progressing without letting busy season take over your life, this is worth a look. I've recruited two people into this team over the past year, both from larger CPA firms, and the feedback has been very similar. Better balance, good people, approachable Partners and a feeling that this is somewhere they could actually stay for the long term. One of the Partners puts it simply “family comes first, always” and they back that up. This is an established West Palm Beach CPA firm that's been around since the 1980s, with very low staff turnover and long standing client relationships. They're growing steadily, regularly turning work away, and now looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join the team. You’ll work across a varied tax client base including HNW individuals, Partnerships, Trusts and Non Profit organisations, with direct access to the Partners and plenty of opportunity to keep building your technical skills. They aren't looking for someone who knows absolutely everything on day one. You'll have experienced people around you who are happy to teach, answer questions and give you more responsibility as you grow. The hours are a big part of why people stay here too. Busy season doesn't really get going until March and typically peaks at around 50 to 55 hours for a few weeks. Hybrid working is available from day one, with the potential for even more flexibility once you're settled into the team. You’ll receive $85,000 to $110,000 depending on experience, alongside 401(k) match, health, dental and vision insurance, summer and Christmas discretionary bonuses and genuine scope to progress. They’re looking for someone with 4+ years of recent Public Accounting tax experience, ideally with experience across Forms 1040, 1041 and 1065. Some Form 990 experience is required. You’ll be comfortable preparing returns and ideally have some review experience too. CPA or EA is welcomed, but it isn't essential. This probably isn’t the firm for someone chasing the biggest name possible on their resume. But if you want good tax work, sensible hours, Partners who know your name and a firm you could still be happily working for in five or ten years, this is a very different proposition.
