Position Information Banner Position Number: 000374 Position Title: Assistant Professor Classification Title: Assistant Professor Department: Marketing, MIS & Entrepreneurship - MU2350 Job Description The Department of Marketing, Management Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship in the Lewis College of Business at Marshall University is seeking an assistant professor for a nine-month tenure track appointment beginning August 2027 semester, with preference given to candidates who can begin January 2027 semester. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing. The Lewis College of Business is one of ten Colleges at Marshall University, a Carnegie high-research activity institute in Huntington, West Virginia. The College, accredited by AACSB , is currently experiencing rapid growth in its graduate and doctoral programs and recently received a transformative gift from alumnus and Intuit Chairman and former CEO Brad D. Smith. Applicants should possess the willingness to contribute to the University’s general education curriculum with its emphasis on a common First Year Seminar and core curriculum courses that enhance students’ critical thinking, and the college’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study. Experience: Qualified candidates must possess interest and/or demonstrated ability to teach face-to-face and online modalities and demonstrate above average teaching ability and quality scholarly research.
