Kennel Assistant | Emergency | 3rd shift | Full-Time; 4 Ten Hour Shifts Per Week - Rotating Weekends | $15/hr+ Dependent On Experience | $3/hr applicable shift differential | Grand Rapids, MI Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids is seeking a Kennel Assistant to support our growing hospital! The purpose of the Kennel Assistant (KA) is to provide husbandry care for the patients, assistance to all doctors and staff, and maintenance care to the facility and hospital grounds. The KA role is valued as an integral position within the overall hospital team. Schedule and Compensation: Full time hours Shift times will vary between 10pm-7am, 4 days per week Schedule includes every other weekend Pay starts at $15 an hour + $3/hr shift differential Responsibilities and Duties: Animal Husbandry Care Patient restraint Restock hospital supplies Bathing/Grooming as needed Facility & Grounds Maintenance; ensure a clean hospital including restrooms and lobby cleanliness, light maintenance in parking lot areas, etc Participate in team meetings and trainings as requested Continue to learn and develop a strong skill set Participate in staff training as requested Maintain a positive attitude and have fun! Other responsibilities as assigned Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
