Training Specialist

Locations CNMT Canton, NC Conmet - Canton Facility 171 Great Oak Dr Canton, NC 28716, USA On‑site HR Full‑Time Requisition #: CMITR009395 Description Training Specialist supports multiple aspects of the training program, including training content, LMS updates, training matrices, documentation, and training quality. This role coordinates training activities and partners with production leaders and designated trainers to help ensure training is completed timely and effectively. The position also performs hands‑on training, documentation, and administrative support tasks in line with company values and processes. Shift: Second Shift/Night Shift What You Will Do: Conduct initial, refresher, or follow‑up training sessions covering specified areas such as orientations, on‑the‑job training, use of computers and software, quality, and EHS. Manage new hire training process throughout the entire training life cycle: Create a plan for new hire training and partnership with the designated trainer(s). Collect feedback from designated trainers on new hire effort, progress, and fit for the role. Assess trainees to measure progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training. Communicate new hire feedback/concerns to functional leaders and HR. Connect with new hires on training and trainer effectiveness. Assist and monitor new employees in the work area and respond to their needs or questions timely. Collect training documentation, ensuring accuracy and completion. Update training matrix as needed to ensure accuracy. Identify training gaps and create cross‑training plans with operations. Evaluate onboarding and overall employee experience through trainee touchpoints. Support all necessary audit activities and preparation involving training. Provide input on training needs, design of training curriculum, and methods to improve training effectiveness. Assist with the development, preparation, and updates of training materials for training sessions. Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of plant procedures, processes, and other ongoing activities and how each contributes to achieving quality and safety objectives.
