We are actively seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the financial management of multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting from preconstruction through project closeout. Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership to deliver projects on budget and enhance operational efficiency. Required Skills: ~ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field preferred ~2+ years of accounting or construction accounting experience ~ Strong understanding of AIA billing, job costing, retainage, and change order processes ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting software ~ Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail ~ Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced setting ~ Effective communication and teamwork skills Nice to Have Skills: Experience with construction management or accounting software Knowledge of commercial construction processes and project lifecycle Analytical skills for financial data reporting Strong problem-solving and time management capabilities Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field Minimum of 2 years experience in construction or project-based accounting, preferably with a general contractor Other Requirements: Knowledge of contract compliance, insurance documentation, and subcontract agreements Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes Ability to handle billing inquiries and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships Willingness to support process improvements within project accounting functions About Trova Advisory Group Trova Advisory Group specializes in delivering a comprehensive array of staffing solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses across various sectors.
