Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring critical care and open heart recovery experience.

Details

• Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU with 8 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post complex PCI interventions
• Performs post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care, including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and SWAN Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart recovery and post cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support for complex cardiac and vascular surgical patients
• Radius rule applies which may affect local candidate pay rate
• First time travelers may be considered
