Job Details Job Location: SMF - West Sacramento, CA 95691 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $32.00 - $34.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Road Warrior Job Summary This Class A position is a Graveyard Shift from 5PM to 5AM, Mon-Fri (home daily). The exact start and end time of each shift can vary somewhat depending on operational needs and weather. Key Requirements You must have experience driving a tractor with a 53' dry van trailer over Donner Pass. You must have solid experience chaining up during weather events. Key Responsibilities Support the Operations Manager and department in nightly activities, including operating a 53-foot tractor trailer to perform drop and hook deliveries of freight in a time-sensitive and professional manner. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records such as Electronic Logging Device (ELD), Vehicle Inspection Reports, daily manifests, and incident reporting. Adhere to laws and regulations governed by FMCSA, DOT, and TSA. Practice defensive driving principles and follow all company safety policies. Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations. Adhere to safe work practices as required by OSHA. Must be at least 23 years of age. Minimum of two (2) years commercial driving experience. Clean DMV record (no serious moving violations in the past 5 years). Valid DOT Medical Examination Card. Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and TSA background check. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification, preferred. Experience driving in adverse weather conditions, mountains, and chaining installation.
