Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact in the Chattanooga region as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting local schools for the upcoming academic year. This full-time opportunity involves working 35 hours per week, starting August 5, 2026, and continuing through May 19, 2027. Your exact school assignments and caseload will be determined as district needs are finalized; previous years have primarily focused on providing services to elementary-aged students.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active, valid SLP License
• Current Department of Education SLP certification
• Able to complete fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing requirements
• Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to assigned students
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student support
• Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt quickly to various school settings and caseload requirements
