Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Facility type: LTC/SNF Location: Lanham, MD 20706 | Waldorf, MD 20602 | Bowie, MD 20716. Contract: 14 weeks Shift: Days (8am - 4:30pm) Start: TBD
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans.
- Conduct therapeutic activities according to the occupational therapist's guidance.
- Monitor patient progress and report it to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Instruct patients and families in following treatment plans and using therapeutic equipment.
- Help patients improve their cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and treatments.
- Modify treatment plans to address patient needs in consultation with an Occupational Therapist.
Requirements:
- Must be certified as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
- BLS (AHA).
- Minimum 1 -2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
