As a Landscape Architect, you'll contribute to projects that improve how people live, work, and connect by delivering integrated planning and design solutions across infrastructure, transportation, water, environmental, energy, and advanced facility projects.

Based in California, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects throughout the United States and internationally. In this role, you'll help develop innovative, resilient design solutions, support project delivery from concept through construction, build strong client relationships, and contribute to Jacobs' thought leadership in areas such as climate adaptation, resilience, and regenerative design.

What you'll do

• Develop landscape architecture and site design solutions for infrastructure and development projects
• Support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and implementation
• Prepare design graphics, presentation materials, renderings, and technical drawings
• Conduct site analysis, code research, and regulatory reviews
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams across multiple markets and geographies
• Support construction phase services, including responses to requests for information, shop drawing reviews, and site observations
• Organize, analyze, and present technical information to project teams and clients
• Build and maintain client relationships through successful project delivery
• Participate in public outreach and stakeholder engagement activities, as required
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives through industry engagement, presentations, writing, and professional activities
• Support the continued growth and development of Jacobs' landscape architecture practice

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
• Professional Landscape Architect license in California
• Demonstrated 5 to 10 years of experience as a Landscape Architect supporting infrastructure projects for private sector clients and state or local government agencies
• Experience delivering projects from conceptual design through construction document preparation
• Ability to communicate design ideas through hand sketches, computer-generated graphics, and presentation renderings
• Experience supporting construction phase services, including requests for information, shop drawing reviews, and site observations
• Proficiency with local and state code research and permitting or submittal requirements
• Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and present data to project teams and clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
• Various projects may require U.S. citizenship, travel, and participation in public outreach activities

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience developing resilience-focused planning and design strategies using nature-based and performance-driven solutions
• Proficiency with GIS (ESRI v9/v10), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Mural, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Experience with BIM tools, including Revit
• Experience with visualization tools such as Lumion or Twinmotion
• Experience using MicroStation
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects across multiple infrastructure and development sectors
• Interest in advancing industry thought leadership related to resilience, climate adaptation, regenerative design, or sustainable development

Posted Salary Range: Minimum 133,800.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 183,900.00

The base salary range for this position is $133,800.00 to $183,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
