Each member may be asked to assist in fulfilling other position duties; cross‑training is desirable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Server / Cashier Serve customers within assigned station following prescribed methods and standards, including greeting, enhancing sales through purchase suggestions, proper serving procedure, checking for guest satisfaction, and recipe compliance. Maintain product knowledge, including ingredients, presentation, price of all menu items, and specials. Receive payments for all transactions following prescribed methods and standards, and follow Sbarro cash handling policy. Demonstrate full working knowledge of Sbarro point-of-sale register system. Complete cleaning and stocking duties in accordance with daily operating procedure. Practice food safety and sanitation standards required of foodservice establishments. Follow established cost control systems, including employee food policy and waste guidelines. Assist other team members when required. Use gloves, utensils, and portion size appropriately; ensure temperature of hot food and attractive presentation of all food. Communicate timely with co‑workers and management regarding food quantity and quality. Other duties as assigned. Pizza Maker Prepare all food products in accordance with specifications in the Recipe Manual and Cards using prescribed safety and sanitary procedures. Assess volume of sales and determine pizza preparation and production accordingly. Communicate timely with co‑workers and management regarding food quantity and quality. Complete cleaning and stocking duties per daily operating procedure. Practice food safety and sanitation standards and follow time and temperature controls and cost control systems. Steam Cook / Prep Prepare food products per Recipe Manual and Cards using safety and sanitary procedures. Operate all station preparatory equipment safely (knives, steam cooker, dough machine, pizza oven, stove, etc.). Produce adequate product per production schedules or requirements independently. Maintain steam table items per Recipe Manual and Product Cards while meeting local health requirements. Rotate products FIFO. Follow food safety time and temperature controls and cost control systems. Dishwasher Maintain sink area, dining room tables and seating, floors, service stations, restrooms, and trash receptacles clean and sanitized per restaurant procedures. Clean and sanitize all trays, pots, pans, utensils, except knives, with prescribed methods. Wash, clean, and sanitize storage areas including walk‑in freezers and refrigerators as required. Serve customers as needed within assigned station following prescribed standards, greeting, serving, checking for guest satisfaction. Complete cleaning and stocking duties per operating procedures. Qualifications Ability to follow all health and safety laws, policies and procedures. Ability to deliver food orders within specified time goals. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and stooping. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to use kitchen knives safely. Adequate command of English (understanding, speaking, reading, writing). Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling. Other Requirements Outgoing, enthusiastic, willing to serve the public positively. Arrive to work on time. Work cooperatively with other team members and management. Handle stressful situations calmly and pleasantly. Manage multiple tasks. Employment Standards Employees must be at least 16 years of age and possess all required documents and permits by law. Employees under 18 cannot use any machines, equipment, or tools prohibited by law. Previous restaurant experience helpful but not required.
