Fleet Mechanic II

Fleet TechnicianResponsible for all preventative maintenance services and repairs to ensure proper performance, safety, and reliability of vehicles for the transportation of CCISD students. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.Qualifications Education/Certification/LicensureHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to obtain a valid Texas commercial driver's license with school bus and passenger endorsements and good driving record.CCISD Fleet Technician Career Path TASBT Step 1 Certifications or be willing to obtain.Special Knowledge/SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability.Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.Must be cooperative and show initiative towards improving skills.Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.Basic computer skills needed for data entry into maintenance systemsExperienceMinimum of 2 years' experience for Mechanic II required in bus, automotive, or truck mechanical repair experience. This can be hands-on, classroom training, or a combination of both.Major Responsibilities and DutiesEvaluates and performs all necessary vehicle repairs and other duties as assigned, within the qualification level obtained, indicating to the supervisor when repairs are complete, and another job assignment is required.
