About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: NC or Compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience (Preferred) - Patient Ratio Experience: 2:1 - Experience with Charting System: Epic (Preferred) - Community Client Experience (Preferred) - Trauma Level I & II Experience (Preferred) Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care environment. Certification in BLS and PALS is required. Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills, including End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Arterial line management, and Care of Ventilated Patients. Experience with complex congenital heart disease and acute/chronic renal failure is preferred. Applicants must be able to manage patient care efficiently, including administering medication and monitoring vital signs. Weekend coverage is required, as is the ability to float between units if necessary. The patient age group includes neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics. Candidates should be flexible, responsive, and able to meet compliance deadlines. Attendance is monitored, and excessive tardiness or no-shows may lead to contract review. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this dynamic environment.
